Ecliptic RocketCam™ Supports Global Space League Event in Oklahoma

2002 Oct 02

On September 28 a RocketCam™ system supplied by Ecliptic Enterprises was lifted to over 40,000 feet altitude above Frederick, Oklahoma, as part of a Global Space League event organized there by Takeoff Technologies LLC to celebrate the town's 100th anniversary. A high-altitude balloon system designed by High Ships LLC provided the platform for the RocketCam, which was recovered at Ft. Sill Army base on Oct 1. This flight marks the first flight of a RocketCam system on a high-altitude balloon.

During the GSL event two other High Ships systems lifted 'spaceplanes' to a much higher altitude before releasing them into the jetstream.
