Ecliptic is seeking qualified candidates to fill a new Customer Applications Engineering position in the company.

Job Discipline: Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Applied Physics

Job Location: Pasadena, CA

Job Description: This Customer Applications Engineering position will provide a key support role on Ecliptic's marketing and sales team as the team seeks and works sales prospects for the firm's products and services within aerospace companies, government agencies and other targeted organizations. Ongoing support includes identifying prospective customers, making initial contacts, understanding requirements, developing proposed technical and programmatic solutions, writing proposals and quotes, preparing and making presentations, meeting with prospective customers, closing sales, and working post-sale issues. The individual selected will become an expert applications engineer for Ecliptic's RocketCam™ product line and related data-transport systems. He/she will also provide occasional support for trade-show activities and other marketing events, coordination with Ecliptic's technical staff, and support to the firm's corporate communications effort (website, product literature, press releases, etc.).

Travel: 10-15% of a typical work month. Domestic. Occasional weekend travel required.

Minimum Qualifications: BS Electrical Engineering, BS Aerospace Engineering, BS or BA Applied Physics, or equivalent. 3+ years in aerospace. U.S. citizenship. Effective verbal communications, technical writing and computer skills.

Additional Qualifications: Technical expertise in one or more of the following: aerospace systems, avionics, imaging systems, instruments or telecommunications. Launch vehicle or spacecraft project experience preferred. Marketing and sales experience preferred.

Compensation: Base salary and bonus (based on overall marketing and sales team performance). Package for top performers can approach six figures.
