Water Evidence at Both Mars Sites

2004 Mar 05

On March 2 NASA/JPL announced that the rover Opportunity had collected convincing scientific evidence that its landing site has once been "drenched" in water. Three days later, a similar finding was announced about the site where its twin Spirit landed.

Follow the action from both missions at Spaceflight Now and related media references at our In the Media page.

Ecliptic supplied the onboard RocketCamâ„¢ video system that captured the launch action last July and also the electrical test equipment for the rover's robotic arm.
