Improved Ecliptic RocketCam™ Video Highlights from SpaceShipOne Now Available

2005 Jun 02

Visit Ecliptic's website to view extensive RocketCam™ onboard video highlights from last year's SpaceShipOne X Prize flights.

These clips, provided to Ecliptic by the X Prize Foundation, allow viewers to appreciate more fully what pilots Mike Melvill and Brian Binnie experienced during their X1 and X2 trips to space, respectively. One clip for each flight shows all key events during the flight from several onboard and offboard camera perspectives, highlighting the value of having various onboard views. Onboard views from multiple cameras on SpaceShipOne and the White Knight carrier aircraft are included. Another clip for each flight is a montage of all four SpaceShipOne onboard RocketCam views (two external and two from inside the cockpit) displayed simultaneously, showing the takeoff roll, liftoff and nearly the entire flight from SpaceShipOne dropping from White Knight until landing at Mojave spaceport.

Note: All video clips are rather large (10s of MB) and silent (no audio).
