LCROSS Team Nominated for Noted Aviation Week & Space Technology Award

The NASA Ames-led LCROSS mission team, which includes Ecliptic Enterprises Corporation as supplier of the LCROSS payload control avionics and one of the nine observing instruments, was nominated for the most outstanding accomplishment in 2009 in the "Space" category for the prestigious annual Laureate Awards sponsored by Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine.  There were three nominated teams in this category.

The awards ceremony was held in Washington, DC, the evening of March 17.   The LCROSS team did not win; this decision went to the International Space Station team.
